THE ROLE OF STATE LANGUAGE IN THE FORMATION OF STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL MOBILITY

The article examines the role of the state language in the formation of professional mobility of students at non-linguistic higher educational institution and linguistic training of future specialists.

The most dynamic and effective component of the human capital are education and culture, scientific knowledge and information. Contemporary person must develop himself and in that the society with modernized system of education should facilitate him. The concept of modernization of the education in Kazakhstan as one of the major values of professional education distinguishes the training of a competent and responsible specialist with a potential for development and professional mobility. The concept of «professional mobility», according to the definition by the «Dictionary of psychological terms», is an ability and readiness of an individual to master new techniques and technologies, to acquire missing knowledge and skills which would provide efficiency of the profession-oriented activity. Under the conditions of contemporary transformations of social-economic, political and cultural life of the country connected with the formation of free, democratic and dynamically developing society based on the universal values, it is essential to examine the notion of “professional mobility” as versatile. High level of intercultural and intersectoral knowledge, skills and abilities, essential for adaptation and effective activity in various professional communities serves as the basis for that. Changes in public and economic life of Kazakhstan have revealed the necessity to emphasize formation of professional mobility during the process of teaching the state language at a non-linguistic high school so that to provide a high-quality training of a new specialist as the user of a state language. The current Programme on state languages for non-linguistic high schools states that the goal of the course on state language is students’ acquisition of communicative competence which is essential for qualified informative and creative activity in various spheres and situations of business partnership. Caused by the social demand of the society, elaboration of issue related to teaching state languages to specialists is one of the most crucial issues of state language teaching. New concept of state language teaching at a non-linguistic high school highlights that the state language is the integral component of professional training of a modern specialist of any profile. Language preparation of the future specialist becomes as essential as the professional training and has a significant impact on the graduate’s competitiveness on the labor market. The high school course has the profession-focused character, therefore its objectives are defined first of all by communicative and cognitive needs of specialists of a corresponding profile, and it includes study of laws of language, thinking, socio-psychological specifics of speech and communicative activity, and also modeling and training for communicative interaction situations. Mastering state language makes the professional portrait of a specialist harmonious and full introducing personal and professional qualities such as communication skills, intellectual curiosity, erudition, creative thinking, skills to adapt to changes efficiently and adequately, to work in a team, to take independent and effective decisions, to generate new ideas, to solve creative problems, etc. Under modern conditions teaching the state language side by side with basic linguistic knowledge should ensure integration into a foreign culture and informational practice of the activity, and should be aimed at developing adaptation, socialization and professional mobility of the future specialist.
Thus, it is crucial to search for the approaches which allow to form professional mobility of a specialist by language means. It assumes changing the goal, content, process and form of the organization of educational process for teaching the state language, creating special methodical maintenance aimed at realization of profound language training on a certain specialty. The state language is becoming the tool for academic and professional activity, approach for further self-education and self-improvement, development of a new leading quality - professional mobility.
